Butters' dad does what any good father would do if he believed his son was bi-curious. When another one of Cartman's practical jokes puts Butters in a compromising position, his dad is determined to "straighten him out." While Butters is at a special camp trying to "pray the gay away," Cartman realizes the joke is on him. |

| Trivia |
- Cartman's photo of Butters' penis in his mouth while smiling at the camera and giving a thumbs up resembles Spc. Lynndie England from the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse incident. In addition, Cartman makes the excuse that the photo was a protest against the War in Iraq - a time during which the prisoner abuse scandal occured.
- This episode's theme seems to closely mirror events involving the former evangelical preacher Ted Haggard, who in late 2006 was embroiled in a series of allegations regarding gay sex with a former male prostitute - despite having previously denounced such activity. In early 2007, it was reported that four other ministers had intensively counselled Haggard so that he could "embrace his heterosexual side".
- The storyline of this episode also appears to reference the self-titled Anabaptist youth "pastor" and reformed homosexual Donnie Davies. Davies is most famed for a music video release of the anti-homosexual song "The Bible Says" by his band "Evening Service". However, doubts exist as to whether Davies is actually a minister at all, with some reports suggesting his being an actor or comedian.
- Bradley, Butters' accountabilibuddy, resembles Billy Bibbit from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, played by Brad Dourif.
- Butters' father's remark about also being bi-curious is a reference to what he did in "Butters' Very Own Episode."
- The Sears catalogue picture may be a reference to an urban legend of male nudity in the 1975 catalogue.
- The camp Butters is sent to is highly reminiscent of a similar "degayification" centre featured in the 2004 satirical teen comedy Saved!
- This is the second time Cartman has performed fellatio, the first time being in "Simpsons Already Did It" during his hunt for massive amounts of "seamen".
- When Cartman comes to find the picture, Stan, Kyle, and Kenny are all seen playing Living, an allusion to the popular board game, The Game of Life.
