| Trivia |
- When Bono answers the phone, he sings "Hello! Hello!" - a parody of the U2 song Vertigo.
- The society leader's repeated use of the word "bitty" to describe breast-feeding Bono is reminiscent of a sketch in the UK comedy series Little Britain, in which a fully-grown man is breast-fed by his mother and refers to it as "bitty".
- The manner of Randy and Bono's competition for Biggest Crap is highly reminiscent of the battle that Billy Mitchell and Steve Wiebe waged for highest Donkey Kong Score, as depicted in the documentary film King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters. Of particular similarity are Bono's sending in the tape of the record breaker and it being accepted without its veracity being checked, as well as the former champion continuing to change the rules so he can't lose his record.
- The crap measurement unit "Couric", is a pretty transparent allusion to Katie Couric, the current CBS Evening News anchor. Couric's promotion to anchor of the program has been heavily criticised, with viewership of the bulletin having steadily declined to its lowest level since 1987.
