Trivia

  • Allusions to the 2007/08 Writers Guild of America strike
    • The Canadians were striking for more money, one of the many reasons for the writer's strike.
    • The Terrance and Phillip Show was only showing reruns, and not new episodes. While the writers were striking, a lot of television shows were on hiatus (while some were canceled for good), and did not air any new episodes until the strike finally was settled.
    • Stephen Aboutman stated that he wanted some 'Internet Money'. A key issue of the writer's strike was residuals for "new media", including internet distribution. The writers talked briefly about the lawsuit between Viacom and YouTube, and the money issues during the strike.
    • Stephen Aboutman is head of the World Canadian Bureau, under the acronym WGA. The WGA is the name of the writer's union.
  • Internet memes featured in the episode include:
    • Tron Guy
    • Gary Brolsma (The Numa Numa Guy)
    • Star Wars kid
    • The Sneezing Panda
    • Afro Ninja
    • The Laughing Baby
    • Adam "Tay Zonday" Nyerere Bahner - "Chocolate Rain"
    • Chris Crocker
    • Dramatic Prairie Dog
    • Samwell - What What (In the Butt)
    • Bubb Rubb of Whistle tip fame, seen briefly in the foreground
    • What appears to be LonelyGirl15 in the back of the lobby
    • Back Dorm Boys
  • When all the internet celebrities are fighting, Laughing Baby is just sitting in his high chair laughing at everybody. But when the fight is over Laughing Baby and his high chair are nowhere to be seen. The same goes for Afro Ninja.
  • The Terrance and Phillip episode I Fart Huckabees is a parody of the film I Heart Huckabees.
  • In the episodes "Terrance and Phillip: Behind The Blow" through "Cartoon Wars", Terrance is shown to have gained a significant amount of weight. In this episode, however, he is no longer shown as overweight.
  • After Canada "wins" which ends their strike, their success is written about in Canadiety, which is an allusion to the entertainment trade magazine, Variety.
