A bad legal judgement threatens to land Chef in
jail, unless he can come up with two million dollars to pay off the slimy
Capitalist Records company. Learning for the first time that Chef is
a legend in the music business, Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny set out
to raise money to bail Chef out of a jam. When conventional fundraising
falls short, the boys unite the town for a benefit concert, Chef Aid,
and some of Chef's famous friends drop by to lend a hand including Sir
Elton John and Meatloaf. Meanwhile, an old friend is stalking Mr. Garrison. |

- Chef Aid is a reference to all the benefit concerts that musical
acts held in the eighties and nineties. Such as Live-Aid from 1985
and all of the various Farm-Aid concerts.
- The biting off of Kenny's head by Ozzy points to a musical legend
that one day during a concert Ozzy bit the head off a bat.
- The album 'Chef Aid' was a spin-off from this
episode. It includes the acts that feature in the episode.
- In this episode we learn that Chef's real name is Jerome McElroy.
