Cartman says that he's seen Mel Gibson's "The Passion..." and that all Jews are snakes and liars and that because the road warrior says it it must be true. This is a reference to the 'Mad Max' movies staring Mel Gibson.
- Offscreen Singer: "Let's fighting love" -
In Japanese pop music, English lyrics are occasionally used, but often in a grammatically incorrect fashion. The music being played was meant to be the "untranslated" Japanese version, and therefore is not viewed as an error in translation from Japanese to English, (as was the case with the fabled translations in "Zero Wing", a Japanese computer game). The full English translation of this song is as follows:

- As topical as ever, the episode makes a point about the furore following the Janet Jackson "wardrobe malfunction" incident from the half-time show at Superbowl XXXVIII, when Cartman's penis is exposed.
- Almost all the ninja versions of the kids are direct copies of the character design in the Street Fighter Alpha videogames.
- The announcer recapping the episode and introducing the next one is a technique utilised in Japanese anime series.
