| Trivia |
- When all the adults are leaving the caving Wall-Mart and the fat lady
in the back trying to keep up might be a spoof on the 1984 Tim Burton
film Frankenweenie, in which the adults tried to get away from a caving house, with a dog still inside, and a fat lady lagging behind.
- The nanny's suicide scene in the 1976 film The Omen was simliar to the way the Wall*Mart executive dies.
- Chef suggest that they try to freeze the store to kill it. This is how "The Blob" was destroyed in the 1958 film of the same name.
- When Chef talks about spreading the secret to killing Wall-Mart's a military officer sends the message via Morse Code as some background music plays.
This is very similar to a line in the 1996 film Independence Day. This references a scene near the end, after they figure out how to destroy the aliens spaceships and they spread the info to other countries via Morse Code. The South Park background music is also very similar to music from the "Independence Day" score.
- The title of the episode is a play on the title of the Ray Bradbury novel "Something Wicked This Way Comes," which was made into the 1983 film of the same title.
In turn, the title of the novel comes from a line in Shakespeare's "MacBeth."
