| Trivia |
- The way this episode is narrated is similar to the style used in the 1966 television special Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
- This is one of the more experimental episodes of South Park in devoting nearly the entire show to Eric Cartman's darkly fascinating mind and creativity. It also gives insight into his relationship with Stan, Kyle, and Kenny. It is reinforced that Cartman has no hidden affection for Kyle and in his ideal world he would not exist. Stan is represented in a similar role to that on the show. Kenny is absent from Cartman's story entirely.
- The use of cute and cuddly creatures that are actually extremely blood thirsty is similar to the online animated cartoon "Happy Tree Friends" where the animals always die in horrible ways and are often evil in nature.
- When the mountian lion falls off the mountain, she falls in a similar fashion to Mufasa in the 1994 film The Lion King.
- Biblical references: The mountain lion as God and the twelwe critters as the twelve apostles.
- When the lion cubs refer to Stan as a "man-boy", this is similar to The Jungle Book, where Balloo calls Mowgli "man-cub".
